With an agreement signed today, Otava New Businesses Ltd has acquired the capital stock of SL-Mediat Ltd from Janne Virtanen and the companies in his ownership.

SL-Mediat is a publishing company established in 1981 that specialises in professional media for the agricultural and work machines and transport and engineering workshop industries. The company’s products include Konepörssi, Urakointi Uutiset, Ammattiautot and Konekuriiri, which have consolidated their position as the leading content and advertising media in their fields. The company’s net sales amount to about EUR 5 million.

“SL-Mediat has a highly attractive market position among machine and transportation entrepreneurs as well as equipment manufacturers and vendors. This acquisition bolsters our position as a specialist marketplace player and expands our business into professional media publication,” says Jaakko Haapakangas from Otava New Businesses.
